Background

In November 2020, the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) conducted a survey among more than 1,200 hotel owners, operators and industry employees.

The survey results have revealed that 59% of US hotels are in danger of foreclosure. In addition, about 2/3 of hotels will only be able to hold six more months at current occupancy and revenue levels.

Challenge

Create a series of infographics visualizing COVID’s impact on three US industries: the Hospitality Industry, the Restaurant Industry and the Aviation Industry.

Solution

I have analyzed the statistical information released by American Hotel & Lodging Association and visualized the data in a form of infographics. Since the infographic is text-heavy, I have created a series of abstract icons showing objects associated with the Hospitality Industry.
