Background

Samii Boutique is a social entrepreneurship supporting skilled women of Turkey and Afghanistan by promoting and selling their beautiful handcrafted products in a Vancouver-based online boutique.

Challenge

The company needs a modern and elegant logo reflecting their tagline “United by Craft”.

Miss Sadat is open to any ideas, yet she wants to see an elegant icon that would visualise the idea of connecting/uniting the eastern and western cultures by means of craft.

 Solution

I have created a rounded icon divided into two shapes and connected with a curved outline of a stylized capital ‘S’.

The client has selected an elegant colour palette with a combination of dark blue and gold. The colours are inspired by the lights of Vancouver and symbolize high quality and exclusiveness of the client’s products.
